MACS Auto has a comprehensive Refrigeration Warranty Policy. See below for detailed terms.
Policy:
Macs Automotive will provide a replacement part for items failing within the Macs Cool Limited Warranty period.
Claim Time Period:
Warranty claims must be submitted within one calendar month (30 days) of part failure.
Warranty Terms:
• Macs Automotive will supply a replacement part free of charge on Valid Warranty Claims only.
• In case of an emergency replacement, a credit may be requested for account customers. Providing the account is up to date a replacement part will be booked out on account. Only once the validity of the claim is established, will a credit passed for the same amount invoiced.
• Cash account customers will have to pay for parts on a C.O.D. basis. Only once the validity of the claim is established will a credit passed for the same amount invoiced and the money refunded by an E.F.T. payment as soon as practically possible.
• The supply of replacement parts under the terms of the Macs Cool Limited Warranty Policy, will only apply to the original warranty period. (e.g. if a part is replaced within nine (9) months the twelve month period, then the warranty period of the replacement part will only be valid for three (3) months.)
• The Macs Cool unit has a one (1) year warranty and a five (5) year warranty on the compressor from date of purchase.
• Only a qualified technician must install your Macs Cool unit. It must be operated and maintained in accordance with the installation manual that is provided with the unit. Failure to provide maintenance records will void this warranty.
• The sole remedy will be replacement of the defective part(s). The costs of transport, delivery, postage and all related expenses being borne by the purchaser. All labour charges resulting from the installation of the replacement part(s), diagnostic calls or any related services are not covered by this warranty.
• Equipment will only be accepted for replacement if visible damage is noted on delivery by our company or our own transporter.
• Macs Automotive takes great care in packaging of our Macs Cool units and therefore will not be liable for damages caused in transit, where the transport company is not of our selection but that of the customer.
• Once units have been installed, the normal warranty conditions apply and no returns will be accepted.
• The warranty is not transferable from the original purchaser.
Warranty Limitations:
The warranty will become void if the Macs Cool units are removed from the original installation site.
The Macs Cool Limited Warranty Policy does not cover damages or defects resulting from:
• Units being miss-matched either in capacity or make.
• A unit that is either undersized or oversized for the area that it is intended for.
• Equipment installed and operated in a corrosive atmosphere. (e.g. salt, chlorine, fluorine, or any other aggressive chemicals)
• Excessive voltage fluctuation or lack of phase protection in areas where the supply voltage may not always be within the units operating range as listed on the units nameplate.
• Accidents, neglect or unreasonable use or operation of the equipment.
• Modifications, changes or alterations of equipment.
• Operation of equipments that does not meet the Macs Cool recommended specifications.
• The use of incorrect or contaminated refrigerants.
Warranty Procedure:
• Replacement parts are only supplied against a written order from the original purchaser for which the original purchaser will be invoiced.
• Replacement parts will only be released once a copy of the completed Warranty Request Claim Form (detailing the original invoice number) is submitted along with a written order.
